The Gallery Players put on a great production of Hairspray. Sound designer was Simon Deacon from Crosslight & Sound. I was on hand to help with the sound design in the relatively small amount of time there was to mix the show.

The system consisted of a CL5 with 3 stage boxes. The band were in sub-stage which hasn’t been tried recently. This resulted in a staggering amount of control with minimal bleed coming acoustically from the pit. This enabled a clean mix and aided with the 26 head-mics that were used by the majority of the cast.
